This is a great piece, the movement to "making" as an actual social phenomenon is something a lot of the 'line goes up' types miss. I do think though, whilst extraction is an issue, the state really cant deliver the projects needed to rectify them. Projects run years late and over budget regardless of who owns them(see HS2). Devolved ownership doesn't obviously fix that on its own; a community trust still needs to navigate the building problem in Britain to function for the needs of the community. Where do you think regulation/capacity sits in this dynamic, and does devolution solve these problems?
